Licking Our Wounds

It's been a frustrating day so far. Battlegroup Wyvern is en route to the rendezvous point. Repairs are already underway on the vessels in the rest of the fleet, and we're tending to the wounded.
I can't help but keep playing the battle in my mind over and over. Our formation, our tactics. We lost two vessels, the Venture and the Tianjin. A third, the Temperance, is crippled and will likely be out of the fight for weeks, if not months. About 300 lives were lost between the surface and the fleet. Several times that injured. And I can't help but feel that none of it was necessary. We didn't need to lose them. At least not all of them.
Admiral Glade and I are already on bad terms, but I feel his leadership is actively endangering the crew. He has little actual combat experience. He's inflexible in a crisis and he comes down impossibly hard on dissent. Those are not qualities which protect the lives of those under you.
Worse, he seems to have little interest in the stealth cruiser. Already, he's refused several of my requests for resources to help in Defiant's search. When the time arises to hunt the ship down, I feel I'll have little choice but to ignore his orders.
For now, we'll just have to help the other vessels prepare...
